维弘治十五年 (1502 年)岁次壬戌十二月己亥朔越十五日癸丑

皇帝遣浙江等处承宣布政使司右参议郑弘，谕祭于刑部左侍郎何镒妻、封淑人石氏曰：惟尔 生于右族，夙奉母仪；礼适名门，恪敦妇道；相夫尽职，擢佐秋卿；累锡褒封，用光贤淑； 宜臻遐寿，偕享贵荣；一疾遽婴，竟至长逝；爰推夫绩，用示恤恩；特遣有司，式颁谕祭； 尔灵不昧，尚克歆承。

注：碑长 165 厘米，宽 90 厘米，方首，镜岭镇西坑青石，为两面碑刻。碑石原在新昌县羽

林街道拔茅村西荣山何鍫墓前，1966 年随墓毁挪移，20 世纪 70 年代，县文管办从拔茅村前

水井旁发现并征集，后立于千佛岩下新昌博物馆碑廊。

Imperial Condolence Edict for Lady Shi (1502)

Dated: 15th day, 12th month, 1502 (January 22, 1503)

By order of the Hongzhi Emperor, Zheng Hong (Assistant Administration Commissioner of Zhejiang) delivers this memorial to Lady Shi, Esteemed Consort (淑人), wife of He Yi, Vice Minister of Justice:

"Born to nobility, you exemplified maternal virtue from youth;
Wed to an eminent house, you perfected wifely devotion.
Supporting your husband's service, you aided his rise in the Ministry of Justice;
Repeated honors reflected your radiant virtue.
Destined for longevity in shared glory,
Sudden illness claimed you too soon.
In recognition of his merits, we bestow this imperial condolence:
May your spirit receive our tribute with grace."

Stele: 165×90 cm (reverse side of He Jian's edict stele). Qing stone from Xikeng Quarry. Rediscovered at Bamao Village well (1970s); displayed in Xinchang Museum.
