古人设禁以防奸，演戏以警众，冀俗尚敦，庞人遵矩，此禁戏所由昉也。我族法而行之，历
年有禁戏一台，其费无夙储，第仰捐输，往往有临渴掘井之嗟。是实阙典，先族兄镠江思补
厥衮，于光绪己卯(1879 年)，倡议创置恒产，以需厥用，奈无和之者。而就商焉，予曰：“此
盛举也，当为君成之。”乃出而约同人联社会曰： “敦农，因重农事故焉。”仰籍先父槐公，
讳朝佐，时为族长督率之力，予辈遵而行之，事得就绪。殚七年之计，撙节积羡，赢有余赀，
或仍虞是欵之蚀焉。予亦求卸仔肩而不得，遂悉数受田六项，亩分粮号列后。从此不复叩门
乞募，于今已三十余载矣。同事诸君均相次谢世，先父更仙逝有年，惟予发苍视茫、岿然犹
存，过此以往，遗老尽而旧德湮，有孰知是产之创于何时，成于何手乎？予恐讳己以没人焉，
庸追叙数言，付诸于民以泐于石，庶垂不朽云。

Stele Prohibiting Theatrical Performances of Ru'ao Pan Clan
Ancients established prohibitions against vice and morality plays (jinxi) to warn communities – cultivating wholesome customs. Our clan long hosted one annual morality play, yet funding relied on impromptu donations, often insufficient. To remedy this, clansman Pan Liujiang proposed in 1879 establishing permanent assets for funding, but found no supporters. Consulting me, I declared: "This noble cause shall succeed." We thus founded the "Agriculture Promotion Society" emphasizing farming. Under Patriarch Pan Huai (courtesy name Chaozuo)'s leadership, we saved surplus over seven years, purchasing six fields (listed below), ending donation demands. Now after thirty years, all founders including my late father have passed – only I, white-haired, remain. Lest this legacy fade, we engrave its origins.
