Since Tang-dynasty Provincial Inspector Yu migrated to Xinchang, descendants built the ancestral hall, magnificent and county-renowned. Ancestral fields managed by annually rotating officers. During Kangxi reign, elders formed a Grain Society: twenty-four members donated grain for revolving investments over a decade, acquiring 16+ mu at Fangtangtou and Sanxi. Divided into four pillars (six members each), each pillar managed one year to cover hall expenses: funded grave sacrifices; rewarded new scholars; subsidized provincial examination travel; paid 2.4 taels Yin-Dong household tax; rotated incense duties monthly. On October 16, members worshipped ancestors and feasted in annual rotation. This benefitted ancestors and descendants with sound mechanism. After sixty years, most shares were sold, only few families sustained. In Yongzheng 7 (1729), Clan Head Canwen with elders Tongxia and Rubo compiled field registers under "Zonghui Household" for tax, but omitted stele engraving. Now as clan head, I (Tuan) with west-branch head Tianjue initiated permanent records. We funded this stele detailing origins and field codes (omitted for brevity). Four revised registers distributed to pillars, ensuring perpetual management. May ancestors bless this endeavor.

Respectfully inscribed by Yu Tuan, Gentleman for Cultivated Duty, Imperial Academy Instructor of Wuyi County, Jinhua Prefecture, 33rd-generation descendant.
Erected by Grain Society members, September Qianlong 55 (1790)
