我吕氏聚族于新数百年矣,自大宗祠以下,派各有祠,祠各有产,原以供岁时祭祀及元夜张

The Lü clan has settled in Xinchang for centuries. Below the Grand Ancestral Temple, each branch maintains its own shrine with properties funding annual sacrifices, lantern festivals, and tomb-sweeping rites. When renovations exceeded communal funds, mountain timber was utilized. South Street contained a two-story shop with inner flat-room – ancestral property of this shrine. Summer 1810 (gengwu year), the fire god (Zhu Rong) ravaged the market, reducing this shop to ashes. Clan members proposed leasing withered trees from Xi'ao burial hill for reconstruction. Branch descendant Lü Bao donated 70,000 cash to rebuild, suspending the timber lease. Considering his grandfather Qingxin and father Zhouxu had contributed to the Grand Temple, Filial Son Shrine, and this shrine, Bao's generosity continues familial virtue. Surviving trees on ancestral hills flourish, eternally sheltering descendants – a profound legacy. Herein engraved.

Publicly erected April, Jiaqing 16 (1811)
